True! Sent explicit text messages to a firefighter in the 7th battalion. A Capt is involved also. They were drinking at a bar out of town and sent the pictures. No excuse! What will the big boys do about this?

Lets see off duty text to a friend, third party complaint, receiver of the text had no issues with the situation. Why in the hell is this even being looked into? People, when are we going to stop acting on third party complaints, for something that occurred off duty to boot?
And that BC on L/D, what a great guy throwing guys under the bus, a future RM or JC in the making. My opinion, any of you that think this issue is worthy of FD action should move to China, were you told how to live and the gov't controls your life.

The Battalion Chief and Capt. in question have a history of doing immature things. Let's start with the Battaliion Chief, he should have been dismissed long ago, showing up to work intoxicated (fs405), how does he get to the rank of BC and never ride the front seat of a suppresion apparatus but he now gets to supervise others on the fireground, scary isn't it. Now the Capt., didn't he get transferred from FS410 for being disrespectful and unprofessional on duty for cussing out volunteer personnel? Yes! I thought so. These are the people that are in line to run this department in the future? Until this department cleans up it's act, I think the federal government should withold their funds (FEMA TEAM) and not allow the grant money that is supplied to purchase all of the nice new toys that we have to work with. When you hit those pockets change takes place.
To the prior "anonymous": I gather you have been living at foot of the cross your entire career? Maybe just never been caught is my guess... We are not perfect, any of us. While it's true he may not have spent time on an engine, I can point out countless examples of people that have and still do ride an engine, and I would not want them showing up to my door. The BC you mention does an excellent job and I have no issues with him. Just be careful throwing stones in a shotgun approach to make someone looks bad when they got caught up in a admin issue you probably don't have the information about...

I agree.....I know the FF involved and she has no issue with the text messages that she received. The FF with the issue is, yet again, someone who is angry at that chief because she was transferred. She happened to hear about the messages and of course blew everything up because she went from running 1 call a day to 10.
I know a little about what happened at fs10. The captain in question stood up to the volunteers. A volunteer with no time in the department came in and started throwing her weight around. The captain took control of the situation as a good captain would. He controls his shift, not the volunteers. I would hope any good officer would stand up for what is right. Use some back bone. Too bad the department does not have the backbone to stand up for its own officers over the volunteers. A lot of bad things are going on in this department but don't believe much of what you read. Anyone with a score to settle will right crap to try to pull people on their side.
Amazing the lack of testicles...just so yous knows, the BC in the picture at the 9-11 tournament did not play golf at all, lost over $300 cause he was hurt and is getting the big sausuage on this whole deal...sorry hate to mix the facts with the BS...

As usual with anyone the only thing people remember is how some messed up. One comment about how he showed up to work drunk at FS05.....well let's see, he was a 22 year old kid. How many 20 something kids have done that in this department? I'll raise my hand. Most of us including the BC have grown up and moved on. So why can't others? Do you harbor resentment because he moved up the chain in a way the fire department allowed? Not his fault, just took the opportunity given to him. And how was he out money for the golf tournament? He found a replacement and paid for them to play. If you want proof, ask one of the officers that were there. Try Tommy Wolfe, pretty sure we can all believe him. It is awesome to see all the perfect people that we have in our department. They all post on here! Stop smearing his name with rumors. Find out the truth by asking the man or anyone else that is directly involved. I know its not as fun as rumors but the man has a family and not one of you has stopped to think of how they are effected. Brotherhood my ass! Take an informal pole of the people in his battalion. I've talked to plenty of them. Not one person I talked to has a problem at all with him. Also pretty funny that the female that got this so called text message, she has no problem at all. And for the people with lack of knowledge in stuff like this, for it to be considered sexual harrasment, it has to be made known to that person that its offensive and they must be told to stop. Third party complaints are just complaints without it. Try looking up the federal governments definition. Its pretty self explanatory.

approximately, around 0100hrs, I, as a passenger in my friends' vehicle, we were pulled over for a tag lite violation. Do I need to report this to daddy MASTIN and GAY Morgan?? Please let me know ASAP! I know, as an FRD member, I forgo all my rights as a United States citizen, I just want to be sure. No tickets were received by my buddy, but I know I have NO rights in the world of FFX FRD. I want to be compliant, please help! Pulled over, but not driving!
